Three months ago, I received a message from an old friend from Hungary whom I hadn’t seen in the last 12 years. He reached out to me after seeing the photos I shared while exploring the Austrian Alps, asking if he could visit for a couple of days and explore the hidden gems with me.
Without hesitation, we made plans, and the following week he had already bought his ticket. He visited me for three days, and we spent the first day in Salzburg. The next two days were dedicated to exploring nature. Despite the less-than-ideal weather – it was rainy and cold, with even some snowfall at higher altitudes during our hikes – it didn’t dampen our spirits. Instead, it brought us closer together as we reminisced about old memories, chatted endlessly, and enjoyed each other’s company. It was a true reunion of our old friendship.
